Soil Health Institute and Cargill Partner To Advance Water Stewardship

Morrisville, North Carolina – The Soil Health Institute (SHI) and Cargill are coming together to advance implementation of regenerative agriculture practices through the promotion of water stewardship within agricultural supply chains. This 3-year, $3 million partnership will equip farmers, conservation planners, and sustainability experts across North America with innovative tools to enhance drought resilience, improve soil health, and encourage sustainable water use.

“Climate change-induced extreme weather events, including drought, heavy precipitation, and elevated temperatures, have dramatically intensified operational risks for farmers and the broader food, fiber, fuel, and beverage sector,” said Wayne Honeycutt, president and CEO of SHI. “Through this partnership, we’re expediting adoption of regenerative systems by offering stakeholders practical insights to assess improvements in water storage and availability resulting from changes in on-farm practices.”

Recent SHI research has demonstrated that increases in available water holding capacity (AWHC) associated with soil organic carbon gains from soil health practice implementation can lead to twice as much water storage in the topsoil compared to previous estimates. This important finding, currently available as a set of mathematical equations, provides a scientifically robust framework to measure the impact of soil health management on water storage.

Continuing efforts supported by this partnership will make this data more accessible to farmers and sustainability experts, enabling farmers to estimate how many more inches of water their soil can capture during the growing season due to improved soil health.

Ashley McKeon, director of regenerative agriculture at Cargill, affirmed, “We strongly believe that regenerative agricultural practices can play a pivotal role in mitigating the impacts of climate change and water stress on our agricultural systems, which is why we are committed to advancing regenerative agriculture across 10 million acres of agricultural land in North America by 2030. Building on more than five years of partnering with the Soil Health Institute, we are empowering farmers and stakeholders across the agricultural value chain with the tools they need to make informed decisions that contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future.”

Potential benefits of using Ozempic as a weight loss aid

Using Ozempic as a weight loss supplement not only helps individuals shed those extra pounds but also offers additional benefits for people with type 2 diabetes. Studies have shown that the use of Ozempic can lead to improved glycemic control, which means better management of blood sugar levels. This is especially important for individuals with diabetes, as high blood sugar levels can have detrimental effects on their overall health.

By incorporating Ozempic into their weight loss journey, individuals with type 2 diabetes can experience the dual advantage of shedding excess weight while effectively managing their blood sugar levels. This synergistic effect makes Ozempic an attractive option for those looking to improve both their physical appearance and their overall health.

Reduced waist circumference and body fat percentage

One of the key benefits reported by users of Ozempic is a significant reduction in waist circumference and body fat percentage. The active ingredients in Ozempic work by targeting specific receptors in the brain that regulate appetite and food intake. By suppressing appetite and promoting feelings of fullness, Ozempic helps individuals consume fewer calories, leading to weight loss.

In addition to its appetite-suppressing effects, studies have shown that Ozempic also has a direct impact on body fat reduction. The medication stimulates the breakdown of stored fats in the body, resulting in a decrease in overall body fat percentage. This not only contributes to weight loss but also improves body composition and promotes a healthier physique.

    Improvements in cardiovascular risk factors

Beyond its weight loss effects, using Ozempic has been associated with improvements in various cardiovascular risk factors. High blood pressure and elevated cholesterol levels are common concerns for individuals struggling with excess weight or obesity. Fortunately, studies have indicated that taking Ozempic can help address these issues.

Research has shown that using this weight loss supplement can lead to a significant decrease in blood pressure levels, reducing the risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular complications. Ozempic has been found to have positive effects on cholesterol levels, particularly by lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol while increasing HDL (good) cholesterol. These improvements contribute to a healthier cardiovascular profile and reduce the risk of developing heart-related conditions.

Increased energy levels and improved overall well-being

Another benefit reported by users of Ozempic is an increase in energy levels and an overall improvement in well-being. Losing weight can often result in increased vitality and a general sense of wellness. However, Ozempic seems to enhance these effects further.

By promoting weight loss through its appetite-suppressing properties, Ozempic helps individuals shed excess pounds and experience heightened energy levels as a result. This boost in energy can lead to increased productivity, better physical performance during exercise, and an overall improvement in daily activities.

Furthermore, many users have reported feeling more confident and satisfied with their progress while taking Ozempic. The combination of weight loss results, improved glycemic control, reduced waist circumference, enhanced cardiovascular health, and increased energy levels contributes to an overall sense of well-being that motivates individuals on their weight loss journey.

This partnership between SHI and Cargill will enable farmers, businesses, researchers, governments, and other sustainability experts to assess their progress toward water stewardship objectives and build industry convergence around the value of soil health in enhancing drought resilience and sustainable water management. Both partners are committed to ensuring free, fair, and equitable access to project tools and resources, facilitating widespread adoption and benefits. To learn more about SHI’s research click here

Improving sleep quality with CBD gummies: Insights and recommendations

Why CBD gummies are often used to improve sleep?

CBD gummies have gained popularity among individuals looking to enhance the quality of their sleep. Many people struggle with various sleep issues, such as insomnia or restless nights, and turning to natural remedies like CBD has become a common practice. The potential benefits of CBD in promoting better sleep have intrigued researchers and users alike.

Understanding the potential effects of CBD on sleep patterns

Research suggests that CBD may help regulate sleep patterns and promote a more restful night’s sleep. While the exact mechanisms are not fully understood, it is believed that CBD interacts with receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in regulating various physiological functions, including sleep.

One study published in The Permanente Journal found that out of 72 adults experiencing poor sleep and anxiety, 67% experienced improved sleep after taking CBD regularly for one month. Another study conducted on rats showed promising results, indicating that CBD increased total sleep time and reduced the number of awakenings during slumber.

Recommendations for using CBD gummies to potentially enhance your sleep

If you’re considering using CBD gummies to improve your sleep quality, here are some recommendations:

Consult with a healthcare professional: Before incorporating any new supplement into your routine, it’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional who can provide personalized advice based on your specific circumstances.

Start with low doses: Begin by taking a low dose of CBD gummies and gradually increase if necessary. It allows you to assess how your body responds to the compound without overwhelming effects.

Timing matters: Take your CBD gummies approximately 30 minutes to an hour before bedtime. This timeframe allows sufficient time for the compound to be absorbed by your body before you retire for the night.

Consistency is key: Consistently take CBD gummies for an extended period to gauge their effectiveness. While some individuals may experience immediate improvements in sleep quality, others may require more time to notice significant changes.

Create a relaxing bedtime routine: Incorporate other relaxation techniques into your bedtime routine alongside CBD gummies. This can include activities such as reading a book, practicing deep breathing exercises, or taking a warm bath. Combining these practices with CBD gummies may enhance the overall calming effect and contribute to better sleep.

Monitor and adjust: Pay attention to how your body responds to CBD gummies and make adjustments accordingly. Everyone’s endocannabinoid system is unique, so finding the optimal dosage and timing that works for you might require some experimentation.

By following these recommendations, you can maximize the potential benefits of CBD gummies for improving your sleep quality.
