    North Carolina: Piedmont Soybean Field Day, Salisbury, Sept. 28

    Join us for the N.C. Cooperative Extension Piedmont Soybean Field Day on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the NCDA&CS Piedmont Research Station in Salisbury, NC.

    You will see our soybean research plots and learn from Extension Specialists and researchers. A BBQ lunch is being provided courtesy of the NC Soybean Producers Association.

    Highlights of the program include Dr. Luke Gatiboni speaking on Soil Fertility Strategies for High-yielding Soybeans, Dr. Rachel Vann presenting on Agronomic Keys to Increase Soybean Yield and Dr. Wes Everman teaching about Harvest Weed Seed Control.

    We will also showcase our work on variety, planting date and maturity group selection, cover crops and insect management, protecting seed quality, disease management and a planting equipment study.

    The first 25 early registrants who choose to receive a free soybean sweep net will be able to use them during the insect scouting demonstration.

    Participants will earn 1 each of NODX and the following CCA Credits: 1: NM, 0.5 SW, 1 p.m., 0.5 CM.
