
It might be almost Christmas, but U.S. growers are unwrapping early presents with grains on track for higher closes this week. Wednesday’s trade showed March corn up 4 1/4 cents, March soybeans up 22 1/4 cents and March Chicago wheat up 15 cents.
GENERAL COMMENTS:
March corn closed up 4 1/4 cents and July corn was up 4 3/4 cents. January soybeans closed up 20 3/4 cents and March soybeans were up 22 1/4 cents. March KC wheat closed up 12 1/4 cents, March Chicago wheat was up 15 cents and March Minneapolis wheat was up 2 1/4 cents.
The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 0.38 at 96.11. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 177.79 points at 35,670.49. February gold is up $14.20 at $1,802.90, March silver is up $0.25 at $22.78 and March copper is up $0.0455. February crude oil is up $1.66 at $72.78, February heating oil is up $0.0479, February RBOB gasoline is up $0.0229 and February natural gas is up $0.10.
