Landowners will receive insights into oil and gas lease issues during daylong educational events April 30 in Oktibbeha County.
“Balancing Farm Success with Oil and Gas Growth” is for agricultural producers as they make future land-use decisions. Program topics include financial impacts, geophysical surveys, legal obligations and environmental management strategies. The programs begin at 9 a.m. and conclude after a panel discussion that begins at 3 p.m.
The Mississippi State University Extension Service is organizing the program in the MSU Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems building at 200 Research Blvd. in the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park.

The seminars are part of the Black Warrior Region Oil and Gas Education Series for Agricultural Producers. They are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Southern Extension Risk Management Education Center.
