The 2017 University of California’s Pistachio Day will take place on Wednesday, January 18, at the Visalia Convention Center, starting at 7:45 a.m. and running to 4 p.m.
Pistachio Day is designed to deliver the latest research-based production practices in a format that enables prospective or current pistachio growers, production managers, and pest control consultants to better meet production goals.
The morning session topics include remote sensing for salinity management, Rhodococcus fascians update, reports from localized farm advisor projects, pistachio tree training and updates on new pistachio cultivars.
Two afternoon sessions are planned:
- Produce Food Rule for Pistachios.
- Integrated Pest Management for Pistachios.
