No, it’s not a joke but a real life drama in a small Oregon town.
Robert Warba rode his horse to the local Walmart to pick up a bag of dogfood. As he was leaving the store a woman screamed that her bike had been stolen. There was no way to catch up with the guy on foot, so 28-year-old Warba jumped on his horse and quickly did what cowboys do. He threw a lasso in the air and tightened up on the unsuspecting bike thief.
If you’re old enough, this might sound like a scene from the 1970s cowboy-in-the-city detective show, McCloud, which starred Dennis Weaver. Warba is in good company.
