The National Cotton Council’s 2017 Annual Meeting is set for February 10-12 at The Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, Texas. General information about the meeting is available here.

Room reservations ($219 single/double, plus state and local taxes, currently 15%, can be made online or by calling the Fairmont at 1-800-441-1414. The cut-off date for making room reservations is Thursday, January 19 at 5:00 p.m. CST. The special room rate will be honored after the cut-off date based on the availability of convention-rated rooms.

The 2017 convention’s first events begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 with the National Cotton Ginners Association’s board of directors’ session and its annual meeting. Note that the American Cotton Producers meeting at 3 p.m. that day is a closed business session (not open to news media).
The joint meeting of program committees convenes on Saturday, February 11, at 8 a.m. and will include the NCC’s planting intentions survey results (about 9:30 a.m. CST). Some of the Interest Caucuses that afternoon may be closed to media.
All attendees are invited to attend a “Welcome to Dallas” reception on Friday night in the hotel. The Saturday luncheon will feature Karen Hughes, Burson-Marsteller’s worldwide vice chair who is one of the world’s foremost communication strategists. The last event, the General Session, which begins at 10 a.m.on Sunday, Feb. 7 and concludes by noon, will feature NCC Chairman Shane Stephens’ report and the NCC’s 2016 Activity Report.
