Pinnacle Agriculture Distribution, Inc. has announce the launch of its own proprietary seed company, Mission Seed Solutions, LLC. The firm will be based in Loveland, Colorado and “will focus on unique seed opportunities for U.S. corn and soybean farmers,” according to a press release.
Pinnacle is a fast-growing ag retail group, with a major focus and investment in seed, according to the releast.
Nearly one third of Pinnacle business consists of seed sales, the release noted, which makes the company “one of the most diverse full service ag retailers in the country.”
Pinnacle already owns four seed manufacturing facilities that produce rice, wheat and soybean seeds.
Mission Seed Solutions, LLC, will be led by Andrew Duff, Pinnacle’s Vice President of Seed Strategy.
“This is an exciting day for us,” Duff says. “We pride ourselves on the fact that seed is strategically important to us, and we are constantly looking for ways to drive value in seed. Customers trust us with their seed decisions and we want to ensure our customers have access to the best products regardless of where they are located.”
The launch of Mission Seed Solutions, LLC, complements an existing seed strategy that builds upon Pinnacle Agriculture’s investment in seed and internal mantra “Lead with Seed”.
Early on, Pinnacle purchased the Sanders dealer organization, which already had a history of seed production and sales in the South. Last fall Pinnacle acquired another 8 independent Midwestern regional seed companies.
