This week the cotton looks very clean. We’re starting to pick up on a few whitefly adults here and there in the cotton and will need to keep an eye on them in future weeks. I have been seeing a few adult Verde bugs and even saw a couple of stink bugs out in our cotton plots so be sure to be mindful of these two pests as well.
Weeds have been an issue in the cotton, but I have seen many growers getting after their fields and doing a good job of controlling them.
Other than that the cotton in the Valley has been growing tall due to all the rain so I’m sure those who haven’t been able to make a PGR application will do so or will be making their second application.
