According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service in Arkansas, there were 5.0 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday, November 16, 2014. Topsoil moisture supplies were 1 percent very short, 15 percent short, 73 percent adequate, and 11 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were 2 percent very short, 16 percent short, 75 percent adequate, and 7 percent surplus.
Low temperatures ranged from 23.7 degrees Fahrenheit at Gilbert to 34.6 degrees Fahrenheit at Hot Springs. Highs ranged from 42.3 degrees Fahrenheit at Kingston to 58.2 degrees Fahrenheit at Cabot. The precipitation for this week was spread throughout the state, with the highest concentration in the south central region of the state with an average of 0.64 inches.
