    New Jersey: Excellent Week for Field Work — USDA

    Crop Progress and Condition for the Week Ending Sept. 21, 2014

    New Jersey had an average of 6.5 days suitable for field work. The overall weather for New Jersey was good. There was some rain.

    Hay alfalfa third cutting is almost done. Other hay second cutting is done and third cutting is 44% done.

    Peach harvest is almost done. Soybeans setting pod is done and fully podded are 46% done.

    Harvests continue, fall agricultural tourism events are gearing up.

    Peppers and eggplants were infected by Cyclamen mite 2 to 3 months ago.
