The U.S. average retail price of regular gasoline decreased two cents to $3.45 per gallon as of August 25, 2014, 10 cents lower than last year at this time.
The East Coast and Gulf Coast prices both decreased three cents, to $3.40 per gallon and $3.24 per gallon, respectively. The West Coast price fell two cents to $3.83 per gallon. The Rocky Mountain price decreased one cent to $3.65 per gallon.
The Midwest price gained less than a penny to remain at $3.40 per gallon this week.
