The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Bailey County will conduct a Wheat Production Meeting at 9 a.m. Aug. 20 at the AgriLife Extension office located at 118 W. Ave. C in Muleshoe.
“Wheat planting time is almost upon us, so we’ll be spending a good deal of time discussing variety selection and fertility issues,” said Curtis Preston, AgriLife Extension agent in Bailey County.
“We are pleased to have Dr. Calvin Trostle, AgriLife Extension agronomist at Lubbock, as our main speaker. He has a wealth of information regarding what’s current in wheat production circles, which should be of major interest to our producers.”
Individual registration is $10 due upon arrival.
Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units in the general category will be offered.
