The Mississippi Rice Promotion Board, along with Mississippi State University Extension Service and member organizations of the Delta Sustainable Water Resource Taskforce, will host a rice irrigation turnrow talk this Friday, July 18, at 4 p.m. at Pemble Farms in Merigold.
The field day site will be located 1 mile west of the Pemble Farm office at 446 Pemble Road, Merigold, Miss. Signs will be posted to help attendees locate the field day.
Participants will hear from farm leaders and Mississippi State University irrigation specialists on the benefit of side inlet and other rice-related water management practices. Attendees will also hear briefly from MS Rice Promotion Board leadership and MDEQ staff.
