The Vermilion Parish Rice Field Tour is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8.
The tour will start at Sammy Noel’s grain bins on Hwy. 335, east of Suire’s Grocery, at 3 p.m. We will view a soybean variety demonstration that Ross Hebert cooperated on.
We will then move to Kent Lounsberry’s to view the off station trials beginning at 4 p.m. A highlight will be the discussion of a new herbicide resistant rice technology, Provisia.
